I Was There
Just gave a listen to this show for the first time since seeing it.
I remember driving down from Keene with several friends. It was the first time I'd ever seen Brent, and I seem to recall hearing it was his "audition tour" for joining the band. We all know how that turned out.
The thing I remember being most impressed by was the guitar playing of Bobby Cochran. It really shines thru in the re-listening today. Some may not know his uncle, Eddie Cochran, was the first to do Summertime Blues which the Who had a smash hit with.
I also recall perhaps the most fabulous "Dead Shirt" I've ever bought coming out of this show.
It is white, with black line drawing of the skeleton/skull face with jester cap holding a red rose and captioned by "Heaven Help the Fool".
Never seen another like it. Still have it.
My only niggle here is I think half the show is missing, as it only plays out to be about 1 hour.
Anyone got more on this....?
